Lovable Pricing (October 2026): Free, Pro, Business & Enterprise

Lovable charges by credits, not by seat. Every workspace gets a monthly credit balance, and building, Cloud hosting and in-app AI features all draw from it. Pro starts at $25/month for 100 credits and Business at $50/month for 100 credits, with tiers up to 10,000 credits. Annual billing gives two months free. The Free plan gives 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month. These prices come from Lovable's official documentation, checked on October 17, 2026.

Every Pro and Business tier

Pro and Business have the same credit tiers. Business costs about twice as much per credit because it adds team and security features. Lovable says Cloud and AI costs are the same on both plans, but plan credits are priced higher on Business.

What each plan includes

Free ($0)

The Free plan includes a daily chat allowance, 5 build credits per day (up to 30 a month), 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits per month, and 1 connector credit. You get unlimited workspace members, private projects, Git sync and custom connectors. Publishing is invite-only, so you can't put a public app on a custom domain. Free monthly grants reset on the 1st of each month, and daily grants reset at 00:00 UTC.

Pro (from $25/month)

Pro adds monthly subscription credits starting at 100, a larger chat allowance, credit rollover, on-demand and automatic top-ups, code editing and download, custom domains, removal of the "Edit with Lovable" badge, design systems, user roles, per-member credit limits, usage alerts and email support. Pro keeps the 5 daily build credits and the 20 Cloud and 4 AI credits each month.

Business (from $50/month)

Business adds what companies usually ask for: SSO, role-based access, a security center, internal publishing, password-protected and expiring preview links, the Lovable API, commit attribution, design templates, personal projects inside a workspace and priority support. Workspace data is excluded from AI training by default on Business.

Enterprise (custom)

Enterprise uses volume-based credit pricing and adds SCIM, audit logs, data exports, scheduled security scans, publishing and sharing controls, a publishing domain, design systems from npm packages, EU inference, dedicated support and onboarding. Lovable's docs say Enterprise plans don't include the daily chat allowance, daily build credits or monthly Cloud and AI grants. Pricing is handled by sales.

How Lovable credits work

• Plan mode costs 1 credit per message, plus any subagent research.
• Build mode varies with the request. Lovable's examples range from 0.50 to 2.00 credits per request.
• Chat messages usually cost a fraction of a credit and use the daily chat allowance first.
• Cloud usage (database, storage, network, compute, realtime) and AI gateway usage (model calls from AI features in your published app) draw from the same balance after the monthly grants run out.
• Images and videos generated while building count as build usage.

Lovable spends the general credits closest to expiry first. Monthly plan credits roll over while you stay subscribed, but they expire 2 months after they're issued on monthly billing, or 1 month after the annual period ends on annual billing. Daily grants and usage-specific grants don't roll over.

If you run out of credits, building stops and in-progress work pauses. AI features in your deployed apps stop, and backend services can pause. Your published site stays live, and chat keeps working while the daily allowance lasts.

Worked cost examples

All examples use the official USD prices above and exclude tax.

1. Monthly vs annual Pro

Pro 100 on monthly billing costs $25 × 12 = $300 per year. On annual billing it's $250, a saving of $300 − $250 = $50, or exactly two months' price. Lovable rounds the annual monthly equivalent to $21 ($250 ÷ 12 = $20.83).

2. Cost per credit across tiers

• Pro 100: $25 ÷ 100 = $0.25 per credit
• Pro 1,200: $294 ÷ 1,200 = $0.245 per credit
• Pro 2,000: $480 ÷ 2,000 = $0.24 per credit
• Pro 10,000: $2,250 ÷ 10,000 = $0.225 per credit
• Business 100: $50 ÷ 100 = $0.50 per credit
• Business 10,000: $4,300 ÷ 10,000 = $0.43 per credit

Up to 800 credits, Pro has a flat $0.25 per credit. Volume discounts start at 1,200 credits and reach 10% off at 10,000 credits. Annual billing takes another two months off, so Pro 100 billed yearly works out to $250 ÷ 1,200 credits ≈ $0.21 per credit.

3. Top-ups vs a bigger tier

Pro top-ups cost $15 per 50 credits ($0.30 each). Suppose you're on Pro 100 and need 200 credits most months. Topping up 100 credits costs 2 × $15 = $30, so your month costs $25 + $30 = $55. The Pro 200 tier costs $50, which saves $5 a month. Top-ups make sense for occasional spikes, especially since they stay valid for 12 months. Regular overages are cheaper on the next tier.

4. How far 100 credits go

Using Lovable's own range of 0.50 to 2.00 credits per build request, 100 credits cover 100 ÷ 2.00 = 50 to 100 ÷ 0.50 = 200 build requests. In Plan mode, at 1 credit per message, 100 credits cover 100 planning messages. Pro's 5 daily build credits add up to 5 × 30 = 150 more credits in a 30-day month if you use them every day. They don't roll over, and some regional plans cap them at 30 a month.

5. Student discount savings

Pro 100 normally costs $25 a month. With the 50% student discount, it's $12.50. Over the full 12 months, that's $12.50 × 12 = $150 instead of $300, a saving of $150. Top-ups are still charged at the normal $0.30 per credit. See Lovable student discount for how to verify.

6. Pro vs Business for a small team

Because plans aren't priced per seat, a five-person team can share one workspace. At 400 credits a month, Pro costs $100 and Business costs $200. The extra $100 buys SSO, role-based access, the security center, internal publishing and training opt-out by default. If you don't need those controls, Pro with per-member credit limits is often enough.

Student and teacher discount

• 50% off Pro with 100 credits, billed monthly, for up to 12 months.
• Verification uses your school email domain. Personal addresses such as Gmail can't be verified, and no card is needed to verify.
• Only workspaces on the Free plan qualify, so existing paying customers can't switch to it. Each person can use it once.
• It doesn't apply to higher Pro tiers, annual billing or Business. If you cancel, you lose the discount and can't reactivate it.
• If your school's domain isn't recognized, use "Request review" in the verification dialog.

Lovable's student page FAQ also mentions "$12.50/month off all other plans", while its documentation says the discount applies only to Pro 100 billed monthly. The documentation is the more detailed source, so plan around Pro 100 and confirm at checkout.

Upgrading, downgrading and cancelling

• Upgrades take effect immediately after Stripe checkout. Upgrading from Free gives you the new plan's full monthly credits. Upgrading from a paid tier adds only the difference, so moving from 100 to 200 credits adds 100.
• Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period. Unused monthly and rollover credits stay usable until their original expiry date.
• Switching to annual: choose Yearly above the plan cards, then Switch to annual. You pay the annual price at checkout, and credits keep arriving monthly.
• Cancelling: there's no cancel button. Go to Workspace settings → Plans & credit usage → Manage → Downgrade to free.
• Refunds: cancelling stops future charges but doesn't refund the current period. Credits aren't refundable.
• On Free after cancelling, unexpired subscription credits are frozen. They come back if you resubscribe before they expire. Top-up and bonus credits stay usable.
• iOS purchases cover one month and don't auto-renew. To manage a web subscription on a phone, use lovable.dev in your browser.

Published apps stay live on Free. Lovable says it may unpublish an app after 12+ months with no visits, no owner logins and no custom domain, but it emails owners first and keeps the project.

How Lovable compares

Lovable builds and hosts full apps from prompts, so its credits cover hosting and in-app AI as well as code generation. Coding assistants work inside your own editor and repo instead. Cursor now starts at $8/month (Plus) and $30/month (Premium). GitHub Copilot starts at $10/month for Pro, and Claude Code comes with Claude Pro at $20/month. Those tools need you to manage hosting yourself. Lovable's Pro 100 at $25 includes custom domains and Cloud hosting credits.

Tips to spend fewer credits

• Use Plan mode (1 credit per message) to agree on a plan before a large build request, so fewer build attempts get thrown away.
• Set per-member credit limits and usage alerts on Pro so one teammate can't drain the shared balance.
• Turn on auto top-up with a monthly spend limit (Lovable's default is 400) rather than leaving it uncapped.
• Keep an eye on Cloud and AI usage for high-traffic apps. They draw from the same balance after the 20 Cloud and 4 AI credit grants.
